It was standing room only at Methuen Village on November 21, 2013 for the presentation and book signing of Deadly Intruder. I passed around two memoirs written by family members. The first memoir was written by my great-great-great-grandmother, Elmira Volk, who crossed the country via wagontrain. The second memoir was written by my grandfarther, Norman Volk, who hacked through the jungles of Central America with a machette looking for land on which to grow bananas for the United Fruit Company. My novel, Deadly Intruder, while fiction, contained some nuggets of truth from my own life, and I shared several of those with the audience. I also did a reading and ended with a book signing. Thanks to everyone at Methuen Village for coming out for the event. A special thanks to Kathleen Corey Rahme for publicizing and hosting the event.
